Enrichment is offered to students in second through fifth grades. Classes meet twice a week for 30-40 minutes each day. Explorations are centered on themes that change each semester. The focus is on 21st Century Skills, including global awareness, communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
Grades 4 and 5: The Enrichment Program offers students the opportunity to explore interesting topics in depth. Students work independently or in small groups to investigate the topic using a wide range of activities and resources. There are up to 12 students in each class.
Grades 2 and 3: Junior Enrichment is similar to the regular program, but has modified content and greater teacher support. There are up to 12 students in each class.
Push-in Services: Each classroom (2nd-5th) is visited once a week to provide enriching small group lessons centered on higher level literacy skills.
Book Club: Students in second through fifth grade meet once a week to read and discuss novels and related topics.
Teacher Support: I work with teachers to provide enrichment activities and ideas for integrating higher level thinking into the regular curriculum.
